Blender 3D provides all of the same features as Wings 3D and many more but at the cost of being more complicated to use and requires much more patience, I would recommend version 2.48a as it is easier to use while providing all the same great features, a direct link to 2.48a will be provided as well as a link to the latest stable release "Blender 3D recommended for advanced modelers only"
